Well if you’re reading this then it’s worked. I’ve just migrated my blogging platform over to WordPress. After almost 5 years (First post Dec 16th 2003) of using Ray’s BlogCFC (a fine CFML blogging engine!) i’ve jumped ship - shock horror, to WordPress.
Once I’m sure it all went well i’ll post the export script I wrote - basically I tied into the (I think new) WordPress import/export functionality and wrote a CF page that rendered all my posts, including comments into format WordPress can import.
I think it may take a while for the aggregators to pick up as part of the process involved me changing the DNS entry for john.beynon.org.uk - so i guess most will be seeing the feature of Java - caching of the old DNS entry.

Is it just me or do we end up picking up RSS using a whole multitude of tools? For instance I know pick up various feeds using a combination of:
- Outlook 2007
- IE7 feeds (Vista)
- Google Reader
- Pageflakes.com
- Livemarks in Firefox
- iTunes
Is this normal behaviour? Or have i over indulged?

Just a quick update on Adam Curry vs the Dutch gossip magazine. The ruling came through last week and in the end they said that the magazine did break the law and any future infringements would land them a fine of $1000.
The endangerment of his 15 year old daughter, Christina was dismissed but in a further twist Adam has ordered a ‘flash mob’ to bug the editor of the magazine in Holland.
There’s further information on the case here.

This blog entry from one of the IE product managers caught my eye regarding the Windows RSS platform - it’s aim is to solve the problem many of us are likely to have run into, sharing feed subscriptions between multiple applications by creating a ‘Common Feed List’…interesting idea!

So I’ve got basic MeasureMap logging working, but haven’t figured out placing the tracking code for the Editor/Comments just yet - anyone else got it working yet?

Since upgrading to BlogCFC 4 with the introduction of trackbacks I think i’ve had 1 true trackback and about 2 dozen spam trackbacks - it gets boring killing them each time so i’ve turned them off for the time being.
