iPhone 3.0.1 bugs
Right, now that Apple has released 3.0.1 which perhaps was a force of hand after the SMS exploit was revealed let’s see what bugs have been fixed in 3.0.1 update.
Camera app bug seems to have been fixed – taking a picture now the taken image minimises to the bottom left corner as it should do.
The sync bug seems to be fixed too – previously after plugging in my iPhone into not my usual sync’ed MAC would cause the current play position to be reset to when it was last synced with master but now it does seem to retain the position correctly.
Update 2nd Sept – It turns out this bug is not fixed!!
Apps seem to load faster than on 3.0 rather than the slight pause that existed prior but it does screen that the pause on the black screen still occurs when you reboot the phone.
Any other fixes or new bugs introduced found?

When importing photos from the iphone to iphoto and selecting “delete photos” after import is finished there is no photos on the phone but the thumbnail stays showing last photo taken 
Using an iPhone 3G with OS 3.0.1, the camera still takes pictures, and stores them; however I cannot view them anymore…
All I get to see is a grey camera image telling me there are no pictures to show !
Any app that did not come with the iphone closes on me know after the update. The standard reset fix does not work. I am restoring right now to see if this fixes it.
I’m not seeing that behaviour, 3.0.1 here and all the third party apps work fine.
I’m getting crashes now regularly with all third party apps.
After 3.01, an old bug has returned: if you have your phone set to require a password after say, an hour, after you unlock it the first time it locks again in less than 15 minutes. This behavior doesn’t repeat every time — I’d say about 1 time out of 3. This was a bug in the original firmware that was later remedied. Now, it has returned.
Another one: sometimes the phone just goes dark and exits whatever app it is in. I’ve only had this happen in third party apps.
I am seeing the same problems Cuthulu describes, all additional apps (not included with iPhone) close immediately after opening. A reset did not help. A complete restore did not help. Deleting the app and re-downloading from appstore did not help.
Help! I am experiencing the same problems since upgrading to 3.0.1 whereby all my additional apps (not included with iphone) close immediately after opening. Did anyone work out how to resolve this?
I had the same problem wtih 3.0.1
Everytime I opened a 3rd party app it would immediately close. I deleted a few apps and then downloaded them back. Then I checked some of my old apps and they started working properly. I even synced my phone after this and everything was back to normal.

my phone will become unresponsive to any buttons after the screen turns off. It takes minutes of holding down the top botton for the phone to come back on.

I also had the same problem on my 3.0.1 iPhone (3GS) just now, where all 3rd party apps don’t open, just start to then close. I did like some people said on the forum said, removed a crappy app I don’t really use, and then reinstalled it… it ‘reauthorized’ at the app store by asking for my username/password, and then installed the crappy app… now all work again.
When switching between webpages in safari occasionally my phone returns to the home screen, then when opening up the browser again it will reload any page that I’m trying to access. While this seems like a minor problem it is VERY annoying when I have to scroll down hundreds of pages to get back to place on a PDF. I’m about to microwave the freaking thing!
