Nope, final gold version - although the final refresh build was what became the final version. However, the RTM (Gold) version is a staged release. It went final RTM a few weeks ago, it went to OEMs first, it appeared on MSDN this week and will be on Windows Update later this month/next. I guess to fix any bugs before it gets blasted out to the 10 users via Windows Update

Yeah, keep us posted John.
I am interested to know if this update speeds up Vista, makes it more stable, and improves the extra-stupid UAC.

will do….I use a mac regularly and an ubuntu machine was was used to the UAC thing but i got so fed on vista i just disabled it.
