So come on admit, it’s the default option when you setup your router so you just go with it - WEP security for your wireless access points that is…well a few weeks back (i’m playing catchup here) a few guys in Germany reduced down the time to crack WEP security to a matter of minutes, in fact using some of the tools it’s acutally faster to crack the network than to hunt out the key and type it in…previously it took about 5million packets to break a key now it’s a mere 40k which is around a minute in time. Closer to 2 minutes you have a 98% chance of getting the key….so now all go and reconfigure your routers to WPA!
