At work I’m known as Stat Man John - yes, i have the cheesy ScatMan John ring tone :). I’m always in and out of WebTrends and Google Webmasters tools. I can’t get enough stats on whats happening with our websites, why and how….Google have just added a great new feature to the Webmaster tools - the ability to examine your backlinks. It shows more data than the current way of link: syntax - give it a try, I think you’ll like it. Plus you can change between internal/external links - you’ll find it on the links tab once your in a site profile in your webmasters account.

There’s an error in Google Webmaster Tools, it isn’t accurate in the "pages that link to yours" option… it doesn’t returns all the links to your site.
In this article explains it: <a href=" http://goohackle.com/error-in-google-webmaster-tools/">Error in Google Webmaster Tools</a>
Also there is a online tool to count and view the real amount of pages that links to any site: <a href=" http://goohackle.com/scripts/who_links_to_me.php">Who links to me</a>
