Late last Thursday night a friend IM’ed me to say ‘Quick, Amazon UK have stock of the Wii’ - so without hesitation I grabbed Mr VISA punched it in and on Saturday I had a brand new Wii in my hands!!!!
If you’re in the UK and on a hunt for a Wii yourself then definitely check out Wiipreorder.co.uk - and you can see who has stock etc etc it also shows that Amazon had stock for just under an hour on Thursday night when i ordered mine..phew!
Am i the last person to discover Aptana - built by the guy that wrote JRun, Paul Colton, Aptana is an Eclipse plugin for making web applications. From the site; “The Aptana IDE is a free, open-source, cross-platform, JavaScript-focused development environment for building Ajax applications. It features code assist on JavaScript, HTML, and CSS languages, FTP/SFTP support and a JavaScript debugger to troubleshoot your code”….I thoroughly recommend you check it out or watch some of the videos of it in action at www.aptana.tv
So someone who learned from my LearnFB series was kind enough to pop me an Itunes gift certificate today, i trundled over to iTunes only to find out that vouchers are not usable across stores…..huh? So now I have an iTunes voucher which i can’t redeem, any ideas?
Whenever there’s a new release of FarCry (the CMS) or BlueDragon one of the hot questions is - will it run on BlueDragon? Well - if you’re not subscribed to the BlueDragon interest mailing list you’d not have seen Vince’s post saying the BD7 runs FarCry - this is great news!!! Bad thing is, we have to wait 3 weeks to get our hands on the release candidate and then a further 3 weeks to purchase license keys for the final release….wow, an almost real date to work to for a product release - that must be a first in the CF world

At work I’m known as Stat Man John - yes, i have the cheesy ScatMan John ring tone :). I’m always in and out of WebTrends and Google Webmasters tools. I can’t get enough stats on whats happening with our websites, why and how….Google have just added a great new feature to the Webmaster tools - the ability to examine your backlinks. It shows more data than the current way of link: syntax - give it a try, I think you’ll like it. Plus you can change between internal/external links - you’ll find it on the links tab once your in a site profile in your webmasters account.
