At last Studio 8 is available for download and Dreamweaver is a lean 60mb or there about - seems a reasonable size these days give the ‘bloat’ around the place. I fired up and immediately set the layout in Dual Screen - so I’ve got the site manager on one screen along with ‘reference’ and then the main code screen on my laptop screen. I can make it crash instantly (which is nice) merely by trying to add/edit sites - which is a useful feature! (UPDATE: In fact it doesn’t crash, it takes approximately 3 minutes to open the screen once you’ve clicked ADD SITE). More to come as I play with it during the day.

Hi! I’ve got the same problem - did u find a solution yet…?

nope, solution - use Dreamweaver MX 2004 instead. Site Management is a fundamental part of DW - it renders the product unuseable if it’s broken. Out of interest, are you using the trial version or the full version?

I’m web developper, I use Dreamweaver along the day, I install Dreamweaver 8 and I come back to the 7, Dw8 allways crashing (about all hour) when I do something like selecting a layer or a table, etc…

We have also only installed 1 Version of Dreamweaver 8 as the new Version is quite unstable. It crashes if only only broken Link ist selected to be repaired. The Site Management has lost some good features. Downloaded Files are coming over in a mess …

It’s definately time to look into Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 due early 2007. I’d be interested to hear what people think about it when they release the possible beta (ala photoshop CS3 prerelease beta ).
