Do people really take notice of times blog entries are made? I mean, my server is in the USA so it’s -5hrs to me here in the UK - I want to keep Ray’s code as close to the released version as possible and without butchering the code (i think) to put the timezone offset in - I think this is to come in a future version perhaps? So, for the while - blog entries are now going to be made at Eastern Time so if you see any early entries just remember to add 5 hrs 
My plan to revert to Ray’s vanilla BlogCFC has paid off, he’s just released version 3.9 here which now supports RSS 2.0, Enclosures and a new category editor! Great job Ray, keep it up!
Over the past few weeks (time allowing) I’ve been keen to learn Model-Glue. I don’t proclaim to be an OO person in any shape or form but i kinda understand the principles now. Coming from procedural programming into the OO world and having to think about DAOs, Gateways and Beans is certainly daunting to some. Keen to learn ModelGlue I took Brian Koteks Bookshop sample applications available in Fusebox and Mach-II and turned them into a ModelGlue version. Doing it this way I don’t have to worry about the how and why’s of OO and can just get on with learning MG and worry about them later. With the existing objects in the model layer I adapted the managers into ModelGlue controllers and changed the Mach-II event arguments into Model-Glue event arguments. At the moment I have about 80% of it converted over to ModelGlue so once it’s finished I’ll put it up here (with Brian’s ok) for folk to critique.
A friend sent me the link to claiming a free Mac/iPod similar to the schemes that seem popular over the USA earlier this morning - seems like Andy J has beaten me to it, but hey I thought i’d put my referer link up here to in case folk want to help me get a free MAC (if the offer works!). I’ve already signed up and added 10 DVDs to my list from ScreenSelect so we’ll see what happens next.
