ColdFusion archives

ColdFusion Add comments

Dealing with multiple instances means duplicating settings across all the instances and if you’ve got a heap of instances it’ll take a fair old while. Thankfully ColdFusion archive files (.car) come to rescue.

A feature of the Enterprise version, ColdFusion archives allow you to build a settings file and deploy it to multiple servers/instances saving you loads of time. In using it for the first time today I’ve found a slight problem, it doesn’t seem to preserve the value for ‘maximum number of simultaneous requests’ - despite saying it does. All the other settings come across fine, datasources, verity collections etc. I’ve submitted it as a bug to MM unless as it’s not fixed with Updater2 nor is it listed as a confirmed bug. I can’t see how it’s anything I’m doing wrong…

John, is that CFMX 6.0 Updater 2 or CFMX 7 with ‘cumulative updater’ 2? Thanks!
