I’d like to echo the sentiments already posted here. I’m also making a plug for sending John some ducats/dinero/dubloons for his efforts. I’m not making him rich, but I’ve kicked in a couple of times, and plan to keep doing so. These lessons certainly are worth paying for.

Yes! Thank you John! Its great our pestering you for the completion of this tutorial has got you to put up.
Thanks a bunch mate, I’m really looking forward to it. This is what I really need to learn next in FB4.1.

Awesome tutorials. I’m using PHP so from time to time I have to find the referential php part instead of CFMX, but still great!!! I’ll be designing my companies intranet using FB 4.1 and you’ve provided some great stuff.

The only questions I have about FB4 so far are about layouts. I would love to read your take on layouts in FB4, I definitely need help in that department. It’s the only thing keeping me in FB3.

Just checking up to see when you would be posting up the new tutorial on FB4.1 Layouts John. So far everything else you have done is just stellar! Wonderful stuff! I can’t wait for this tutorial. Keep us up to date on when you think it will be available. Take it easy.

The tutorials are great but when you download a file, the link that says ‘Go back to where you were’ doesn’t take me back to where I was. Also the dark blue coloured text on a dark blue background will get you into trouble with the accessibility police!

good point…fixed! (The link that is)

The tutorials are superb!! I have just begun using the new version of fusebox. but, i have not been able to figure out…how to include
my css stylesheet. where would a file like this be placed so that it can be used globally? would one still follow the same process of creating a fuseaction?

Well worth a donation since your tutorials saved me from actually having to go out, find a book, pour over all of the chapters to pull out the 20 pages out of hundreds I would have actually used. Keep up the good work! Very well put together stuff.

The tutorials are great, Awesome, wonderful… wish there were more.
I am stuck at p.47
"When we want to call our new fuseaction ‘recententries’ and we’re in a different circuit we use the <do> verb – so our circuit.xml which has the myFuse fuseaction in changes to look like;
<fuseaction name="welcome">
<include template="dsp_welcome.cfm"
contentvariable="myCV" />
<do action="pods.recententries"
contentvariable="recententries" />
</fuseaction>
…
There is already a fuseaction called "welcome"
<fuseaction name="welcome">
<xfa name="submitform" value="learnFB.results" />
<include template="dsp_welcome.cfm" />
</fuseaction>
and one called my fuse …
<fuseaction name="myfuse">
<include template="dsp_myfuse.cfm" contentvariable="myCV" />
</fuseaction>
are we supposed to remove one/combine the two, or is this just a typo.
Thanks in Advance!
Your tutorials are very helpful!!

Your tutorials are great,I’ve been enjoying reading them. However tutorial 7 seems not to be the end of the series….do you have any plans to finish the rest to make this series complete?
