I finally got Eclipse working on my computer, not sure what i did to get it working but it’s working now - funny thing is, I installed it on a USB Hard drive which moves between my home and work computer. I fired Eclipse up from the disc when i got home and amazingly it was all as i left it when i hibernated my work computer - this could have serious advantages!!!
Or have i discovered something that everyone already knows about???

At last (well, 5 days ago) the most useful Firefox extension i use was updated to work with FF 1.0 - what is the extension? the Bookmark Synchronizer. It allows you to FTP your bookmarks up to a webserver either manually or when you close Firefox, you can then configure any other computer you use to grab the same bookmarks file - i’m between laptops and desktop so it’s an absolute life saver! You can grab the extension from the Mozilla extension site here
What other extensions can you not do with out in Firefox?

But, as always - there’s a catch!
If you’ve bought a new PC and it’s come with a pirated copy of Windows XP, Microsof will replace it with a legitimate copy free of charge. Needless to say there are a bunch of requirements that must be met, receipts and statements sent in etc etc

Well i thought i needed an iPod but it turns out i don’t actually need one as I already have a suitable device - my Dell PDA! If you have a new PDA with Media Player 10 on and Windows Media Player 10 on your PC then you can sync the two up from within Media player - not quite as seamless as iTunes but nevertheless it works just fine, I can even sync recorded TV shows from my Media Center PC! Only thing now is, I need more storage space - so i’ve been on Ebay and bought a couple of 1gb SD cards dirt cheap!

My fingers are so sore! I’ve played god know how many hours of Halo2 this weekend and had my first experience of Xbox live - there just aren’t enough hours in a day to kick ass! So if you have Halo2, keep a look out for ‘EpicBog’ - somehow that became my gamer tag….

I’ve decided i need an mp3 player, well - i’ve known it for a long time but now it’s time to action it. Do I want an iPod? I’ve read a few reports of their being better products out there but having just played with an iPod mini I’m well impressed. I had a Sony Network walkman thing and it took ages to copy music to it but i just saw a CD ripped and copied in minutes! Do any folks have other recommendations - I think i only need about 4gb of storage and want to spend as little as possible but don’t want a piece of rubbish. Thoughts?

Gmail has released some more surprises in its every growing feature set. You can now POP into your Gmail account as well as auto forward from your Gmail to an external account
Something else people have found is you can view a little bit of your inbox via RSS using a link such as https://USERNAME:PASSWORD@gmail.google.com/gmail/feed/atom - it’s probably what the Gmail notifer is reading when it checks your mailbox, so it’s not all that rich
