I have Windows XP on my laptop, Windows Media Centre on my PC at home, Windows Mobile 2003 SE on my PDA and now i’ve just upgraded to a Windows powered Smartphone from Orange. The SPV c500 has only just released in the UK so i was surprised when they told me i could have one for free. It’s a fraction larger than my previous Sony Ericcson T610 and slightly heavier but that’s no real problem. Yes, there are ‘converged’ devices PDA/Phones slowly coming but i’m not ready yet to carry around a PDA sized device all the time when i can just do with my cell phone, although the HP 6315/6310 is looking like a viable option.
Thanks to Roger Benningfield (http://journurl.com) we’ve now got RSS feeds back up and running on Fusebox.org. This time no more scrapping - the feeds are generated directly from the fusetalk Db and now we’ve got threaded RSS so you can follow discussions solely from an RSS reader.
The OPML file containing RSS feeds can be found here - you can point most readers at this file and they will pull the channels into your reader.
I’m back from the F3C Championships in Germany, our (the UK) team came 5th in the team event and we had pilots ranked 4th, 18th and 21st in the individual contest - not bad out of 48 pilots and 17 countries.
So what’s been happening over the past 11 days - CFMX 6.1 updater was released, I’ve got 5 gmail invites sitting here for the first 5 replies, Fusebox4.1 release is coming closer - it’s got some neat stuff in it! Other than that, it’s been kinda quiet in the tech world.
Next stop, I fly to Washington DC a week on Friday for the Fusebox conference and home again on the Monday. Then two weeks after that, a well deserved holiday in Cancun, Mexico.
