With the vastness of the world and the enormity of media to the masses, tv, the internet etc its amazing when you come face to face with something you’ve read/seen.

I was at Birmingham this weekend at a Modelling Expo where a guy came up to our stand to discuss RC Helicopters - i knew I recognised him from somewhere, my hunch was right.

The guy turned out to be Willard Wigan. Who? Willard Wigan! This guy produces the *WORLDS* smallest pieces of art. From the statue of liberty in the eye of a needle to a polar bear on a grain of salt. The guy is truely amazing. His current comission is Noah’s Ark, complete with animals inside a hollowed out human hair! Now that is small!!!! He was telling us how on a number of occasions he’s actually inhaled his pieces of work!

You can read more about Willard on his site at http://www.willard-wigan.com/

Netscape is the most popular!

Well, browsing my site at least it is with IE6 second but it’s a long long way off! Last week out of 203 unique visits 145 were from Netscape 7.0 origins whereas a mere 35 were IE 6.0.

I guess most of these aren’t actual Netscape hits but more likely to be Firefox users as most people now realise the excellent power of this light weight browser.

Interestingly enough, I’ve got an article next to me which is reporting that the US government body Cert is advising users to abandon IE! 94% of the market share is allocated to IE according to OneStat - it’s important to bear in mind that features such as VBscript, ActiveX won’t work in the non IE browser so corps will need to revise their web site strategies.
