Britain, gotta love it!

general Add comments

Britain has to be the only place that when there’s a few centimetres of snow, the entire country grinds to a halt. We’re having odd weather (for the UK) at the moment and it’s cold (for the UK) outside, -3, -4 at night time. Around 6pm tonight we had a snow flurry, what was super odd was that we had lightening at the same time. So this snow, it managed to cause huge traffic jams on most roads around the south. What is even more odd is the London Underground (the tube) got affected - now if you can expain that, then you’re better than i am!!!

Hahahahahahahahahahahah, thats Britain for you !!

They reckon, the rail track became too cold, and froze the carriages from moving!! However, it gets better, they were meant to have anti-freezing devices fitted at the bottom of the tubes and trains, which failed to work, when put to the test!!! Crazyness!! U woulda thought that stuff would have all been tested before actually being put to use!

Wrong type of snow, I expect. That was their excuse about five or six years ago when I still lived in England. Makes a change from "leaves on the track" which must be their all-time favorite excuse!

Sorry to hear you’re freezing your butt off over there… The weather was a factor in my decision to move to California, I must admit.

Leatherhead or California, Leatherhead or California. Hmm, tough choice. Perhaps if you put a good word in for my Team Macromedia consideration then i’d be a step closer ;) j/k!

I gather the snow has all melted now?

Leatherhead’s not a bad place… I used to go snowboarding on Box Hill if there was enough snow! :)

yep, all snow gone. Back to 11 - 14 degrees. Plenty of people in Boxhill today, I live right by it now in Dorking!

Hello you, stop complaining we didn’t get any snow at all and therefore have absolutely nothing to wonder at at all. Guess we can go back to counting inches of rain here in wales!!
