CFML Coding Guidelines (as used by Macromedia)

I’m not sure where i was or what i was doing but i came across an interesting link to a set of coding guidelines as used by Macromedia’s Web Technology Group (WTG) run by Sean Corfield (Sean, correct me if i’m wrong). I’ve only just started reading through it but it certainly raises some interesting points to consider and it’s nice to see the sort of techniques that Macromedia use behind their site and web applications.

You can find the document here

  1. Sean Corfield Says:

Close. I don’t actually run WTG but I did initiate the group back in Summer 2001. Initially it was run by Jeremy Allaire (it was a lot of fun reporting to Jer!) and then my current boss, Robin Ducot, took it over (my best boss ever). The Coding Guidelines have my name as author but represent the thoughts and practices of a large number of senior engineers. The same applies to the Mach II Development Guide:
